Shifts Timing: Open for working in 4 shifts on rotation basis (Including Night Shift)
Education qualification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related discipline, or knowledge acquired through equivalent experience.
Experience: 5 to 6.5 years
Locations: Bangalore.
We are looking for strong developers (Prior work experience in Development Projects); and willing to work in Production Support (Involves coding, code review, and support responsibilities)
Role Purpose:
The production support analyst will provide on-call support of production applications and will work closely with technology groups, other internal teams and vendors to investigate and resolve issues. The candidate must be able to evaluate applications and functions to identify process improvements. The position requires analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to issues. The candidate must be able to work within a high paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Key Contribution Areas:
* Provide 24X7 support for applications those are marked critical by scheduling.
* Timely and regular status updates to the production tickets in QMS.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues and escalation to internal teams or vendor as necessary.
* Implement and maintain application configuration requirements as needed for client and/or internal requests.
* Perform validation of applications during release / patching windows.
* Create implementation and validation plans in support of changes to the application.
* Create/maintain internal documentation including system support guide, process flows and other application support documentation where applicable.
* Represent team in projects to ensure operational aspects of the solution are identified and documented.
* Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for applications to review and approve new changes into production.
* Partner with tech services for installation of the vendor software.
* Provide training to various new employees and assist with expert knowledge on all production processes.
* Maintain effective relationships with various system administrators and development teams.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Knowledge of scheduling software and SCM tools.
* VB.NET, C#.NET, ASP .NET.
* SSIS, SSAS, SSRS.
* SQL Server, Oracle.
* SQL - PL and Oracle PL/SQL
Good to have skills:
* VB 6.0, VB script, java script.
* UNIX, Power builder, Micro strategy.
* VB script, java script.
* Cybermation.
Key capabilities:
* Willingness to work in off hours (shift rotation).
* Willingness to provide 24x7 supports over the weekend.
* Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
* Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
* Understanding of Production timelines.
* Ability to work with onshore counterparts.
